Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to internationalize research on the philosophy of Józef Gołuchowski by introducing a new discourse in reflections on this thinker. For many years, research has been conducted in Lithuania on the key figures and ideas of the Polish mind. Rűta Marija Vabalaitë, who has been writing about Gołuchowski since at least 2012, shows an interesting, comparative perspective in the analysis of his thought. This text reviews and analyzes two articles from her new series on the so-called early thought of the Vilnius professor. The controversial issues were sympathetically criticized so that they could become a pretext for a polemic on possible approaches to Garbaczyk’s philosophy, including those regarding the continuity and systemic nature of his thought, the scale of his inspiration from Schelling, and the theoretical approaches within metaphysics that should be taken to honestly and sensibly talk about his social and political thought. It also shows, indirectly, new sources that change a lot in research on the understanding of Gołuchowski’s philosophy as part of his fascination with Plato.
