Summary/Abstract: Article is an attempt to show, how the teacher of Polish language can discuss interestingcontemporary books during lessons with students. The author describes how the studentssee the book written by Monika Sznajderman “Falsifiers of pepper”. She described her classeswhen students were working with essays of Roland Barthes and Wojciech Nowicki aboutphotography, to deepen the reception of family story, which is shown by Monika Sznajdermanin her work. The presented academic classes have become the starting point for studenteducational projects.
