Summary/Abstract: The analysis of the elements that contribute to the expression of the locative in French and Romanian can turn out to be a difficult task, despite the situations where the two languages have a lot of elements in common. Indeed, in the analysis of base language-target language transpositions, direct transcodings can be identified, but they seem to be less numerous. Oblique transcodings, modulations, suppressions are predominant. They will predominate in the identified examples, which are presented in a systematized manner in the second part of the article. We must also mention the presence of semi-automated verb + spatial determinant structures.
