Summary/Abstract: The article references the previously unpublished text by Stefan Bednarek and Justyna Harbanowicz on the mnemotopoi of Wrocław. It contains a theoretical introduction concerning collective memory, its relation to history, the concept of lieu de mémoire and mnemotopos (mnemotop)—the term proposed by Bednarek. Then it analyses the project “Spod tynku patrzy Breslau,” which aims to map pre-war advertising signboards and other inscriptions in Wrocław. Finally it analyses two examples of signboards in which Wrocław’s mnemotopoi materialise.
