Summary/Abstract: It is essential to analyze the folk economy activities that took place in the Old Turks from historical and cultural points of view. In this situation, this article analyzes the folk economics practices of Old Turks, considering historical and cultural backgrounds of Hun, Gokturk, and Uighur states, focusing on their influence on sociocultural and socio-economic structure with reference to some examples from the Huns to the Gokturks and from the Gokturks to the Uighurs. Consequently, the folk economy (although defined as normative economy), constituting one of the important titles of folklore study staff and as an alternative economic model in folklore studies, will be evaluated based on Old Turks' understanding of traditional economy, emphasizing its unique development, settlement, and spread in a way specific to the Old Turks.
