Summary/Abstract: Input-output models are fundamental analytical tools in sectoral economic planning that make it possible to determine the priority of investments in specific sectors. This study employs the inputoutput table calculated by the Asian Development Bank for the Kyrgyz Republic based on data for 2018. By analyzing multiplier effects and linking effects, the study identifies key sectors. More specifically, the multiplier analysis prominently features financial intermediation, construction, transportation, education, health, and social work services, whereas the linkage effects indicate that agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing, heavy manufacturing, and financial intermediation sectors are key. Finally, the financial intermediation sector has the highest level of both forward and backward linkage effects.
