There are new acquisitions and contributions in light of a unique sensibility regardinglate Baroque painting in Lombardy, as well as studies undertaken over the past twenty years.Longhi’s lesson also came to light through a series of noteworthy exhibitions in the 1950sand 1960s, curated by Marco Rosci, Mina Gregori, and Giovanni Testori. All of them wereexceptional events that continued in Novara, owing to the input of Sir Denis Mahon, withthe season dedicated to the Caravaggesque painters and the painters of the Baroque era(2006–2013).
