Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to show the topic of an appointment of a parish priest for a specific period of time in accordance with canon 522 of the Code of Canon Law. In the first part of the article it is presented the following question: the priest as the proper pastor of the his parish. In the second part it is introduced the question of possibilities of appointment of a parish priest for a defined tenure in accordance with canon 522 of the Code of Canon Law. The last part is dedicated to the complementary norms of episcopal conferences which concern the appointment of a parish priest for a specific period of time. The article ends with conclusions and references.
