Summary/Abstract: The subject of the article is the presence of Far Eastern landscape sensibility in recent pop-cultural audiovisual productions. The author is interested in traces of such perceptions oftime and space that have constituted traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean landscape strategies. To this end, she analyses three TV/web series: The Untamed (2019), Kingdom (2019–) and Barakamon (2014). Formed on the basis of popular culture and calculated to connect with a wide audience, they are, according to the author, a testament to the vitality of Far Eastern landscape traditions, and the way their creators exploit the possibilities offered by the cinematic medium brings to mind solutions characteristic of oriental painting.
