Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes contemporary challenges arising from dynamic socio-economic and political changes that define the current era. Drawing inspiration from the concept of liquid modernity, theories such as those proposed by Zygmunt Bauman and ancient philosophical doctrines of change are considered to better understand the contemporary reality. The article emphasizes the growing uncertainty and instability, exemplified by the choice of the 2022 word of the year — permaccrisis. In the context of the complex and fluid landscape of modernity, the article utilizes the term VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) as a tool to describe the contemporary world, where volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity are predominant features. Through the analysis of literature and media, the structure of contemporary uncertainties has been mapped to better understand and navigate the context of the poly-crisis era. This article serves as a starting point for further research into contemporary social and economic challenges.
