The Ressurection of Christ – the Way to the Saving Truth of Eternal Life

Summary/Abstract: The resurrection from the dead of our Savior Jesus Christ remains forever the miracle of miracles, and the celebration of the Resurrection remains the celebration of our church holidays. The Lord's resurrection is the greatest event in the history of the world, the strongest proof of His divinity, the foundation that shows the divine origin of Christianity. Christ's resurrection is the source of our own resurrection, the miracle that gives meaning to our lives, the deepest meaning of our faith.Seen in its ultimate finality, the whole Christian life is essentially a preparation for resurrection and eternal life. But eternal life is not simply life after death, but it is man's life with God; it begins long before physical death, it debuts in history. The Church is at the same time anticipation and progress towards the Kingdom of God, towards the common - universal Resurrection; and the Kingdom is nothing but ‘the glorified body of the Risen Christ in which humanity enters into communion every day...’ .The present homiletic study highlights the fact that every celebration is an occasion of joy, light and spiritual living for the entire divine creation, in general, but for each of us they are moments of transfiguration and full sharing by the Holy Spirit. Through His Resurrection, Christ revealed to us the Way, the Truth and the Eternal Life. Our effort, in response to the boundless love of God the Father, should also determine the opposite meaning of our action, individually and in communion towards Christ: to show that we follow the Way revealed to us by God the Son, that we remain in the Truth transmitted to us through The Holy Apostles and their successors, and that we want an authentic Life springing from the joy of Christ’s Resurrection. By following the Way, we confess the Truth that Christ - the Lord conquered death and entrusted us with eternal Life.
