Summary/Abstract: Health resorts in Poland are usually located in small and medium-sized cities. The spatial architecture of cities with a significant health resort infrastructure differs from that of other cities. Such cities possess a larger number and more diverse range of basic services, more recreational sites, and more sports facilities and cultural centres, which serve not only the local inhabitants, but tourists and visitors to health resorts, as well. In most cases, such services are offered in areas housing curative facilities, which tend to vary in terms of their standards. Additional services are available at many health resorts, such as sport-related offers. These are important not only due to their recreational value, but also as a supplement to the therapies offered.
