Summary/Abstract: European Commission launches the European Year of the Volunteer 2011 which aims to reduce barriers to volunteering in the awareness of the EU and the Europeans of the importance and value of these activities in Romania, volunteering is an activity public interest on its own initiative undertaken by an individual on behalf of others, without receiving a material. Volunteering is an activity of public interest held by individuals, volunteers called in some legal relationship other than the legal work and to provide civil legal relationship of an activity remunerated In this regard, may perform voluntary services of home care for elderly In this context a new perspective to the contacts of volunteering, we must emphasize the Order of the Ministry of Justice does. 420/C/2011 conditions in which prisoners can work on a voluntary basis. Such a contract on a voluntary basis is a form of atypical work as subordinate working but service providers, prisoners are not employees and in their capacity as volunteers are not paid for work performed.
