To the question about dualism of private law in Russia (in the wake of Shershenevich’s research)

Summary/Abstract: The article examines arguments in favour of commercial code enactment in Russia. The conclusion on the necessity of enactment of this code is dwelled upon historical background of commercial law, as well as distinctive characteristics of the modern system of private law in Russia and other foreign states’ experience.
