Family with handicap/ family without handicap - a study about the experience of victimization

Summary/Abstract: By their condition it is considered that persons with disabilities are among the most vulnerable from our society. The researches have proved this so far. But the experience of victimization is one to complex to be explained only by this variable. By using a questionnaire regarding the victimizational behaviors experienced in the last year, the present study is trying to put face to face the disabled family and the non-disabled family. Results show that the disabled family is more vulnerable to victimization experiences. This opens many areas of future research and raises questions regarding the services delivered to both families.
