Summary/Abstract: In 2011, Dario Fo rewrites a dozen novellas of Boccaccio's Decameron from his perspective as a playwright, thus rendering The Decameron a theatrical dimension in all senses. The rewriting releases the latent stage -actor qualities of some of Boccaccio’s characters. The article focuses on Fo's means of dramatization and adaptation of the original text.
