КОНЦЕПТ КРЕСТ В РУССКОЙ НАРОДНО-РЕЧЕВОЙ КУЛЬТУРЕ
CONCEPT OF CRUCIFIX IN RUSSIAN FOLK-SPEECH CULTURE

Summary/Abstract: The article pays special attention to the study of the concept of national identity and the concept of national character. Contemporary linguistics is focused on the research of the identity of the person. An ethnic community and a system representing the concept of ethnic consciousness are considered. A research of the folklore works representing a particular vision of the Russian people constitutes a special interest. This publication describes the essence of the concept of crucifix in religious poetry and in funeral lamentations. The study examines its functions in the culture and folklore of the ethnic community. The dominance of the studied concept in sacred values is identified. This domination was determined by the specificity of analyzed genres. In the course of the textual research much attention was given to the depth of faith and the state of the soul after death.
