Summary/Abstract: The following article focuses on online trolls as Internet phenomenon and traces the differences between them and the hacktivist group Anonymous. After a short intro into the problems of online subcultures and Internet communities, the paper explores whether trolls can be described in either of those terms. An attempt is made to define online trolls and to analyze the tools they use to accomplish their goals.
