Summary/Abstract: Analyzing philosophy of the Russian philosopher S.N. Bulgakov (1871-1944), the authors of the article show that a subject of speculation of Russian philosophy is valuable experience of human life (first of all religious experience). It converts Russian philosophy into philosophy of culture, which thinks being as valuable being, and knowledge as comprehension and reaching by the person of original being. In the article is shown, that, uncovering metaphysic of Absolute, Bulgakov determines an ontological principle of cultural being. Analyzing a sense of Sophia, he determines a metaphysical essence of creation in culture. Sophia finds out itself as an edge which the God supposes between Itself and world. The secret of creation is made in this ontological between, therefore doctrine about Sophia appears metaphysic of creation. The article shows, that treating Sofia as special hypostasy, Bulgakov understands any cultural being as individual (personal) being.
