Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with a significant variable of European security: the Space of historical, geopolitical, institutional, economic and cultural developments regarding security issues on the continent, based on inter-disciplinary approach, methods and paradigm used in the frame of European Studies. Barry Buzan and his colleagues from the Centre for Peace and Conflict Research in Copenhagen developed in the 1990s the largely accepted theory of multidimensional European Security, based on five distinct meanings of this concept: military, political, economic, societal and environment. The Space of European Security is therefore analyzed in the following pages according to the thesis formulated by Copenhagen School.
