Summary/Abstract: In Romanian the list of words made by adding the suffix “-ism” is as the author states in this article rich and open and the examples provided stand for this assertion. The words Comsumism and Consumerism, as examples of the latest entrances and the semantic difficulty related to these neologisms is also tackled.
