Summary/Abstract: Physical attractiveness is considered to be an advantage for men and an obstacle for women in the managerial sphere. The aim of the present study is to reveal the way employees perceive their immediate superiors, when the latter are attractive women and men managers. The influence of perceived physical attractiveness on the satisfaction of him/her is examined. The influence of sex of participants on the perception of an attractive manager and on the satisfaction with him/ her is explored, too. Finally, profiles of attractive women and men managers are compared. Perceptions of women and men managers are investigated through a scale, containing characteristics of the ideal manager, especially created for this purpose and satisfaction of a manager is examined through a scale, too. An analysis of the results of this empirical study is presented.
