Principles of Procedure under the Patent Cooperation Treaty

Summary/Abstract: The Patent Cooperation Treaty provides a procedure which simplifies and facilitates the obtaining of patent protection for inventions within several countries. The essence of the procedure is based on a system of principles belonging to different fields of law: public international law, procedural law, as well as principles specific for the PCT. Their formulation in this article intends to introduce the reader to the complex sequence of legally regulated actions constructing the procedure of cooperation.
