Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results for the study of the basic criteria of the prime minister's leadership style, which include: rules, order and control, personal integrity, Motev of affiliation, power motive, emotional balance and attitude towards the media (Binev, 2010). In addition, they included another 4 criteria that are clearly marked in litelaturata : experiences and interests, orientation towards task or people, conflict management and achievement motivation. Formulated criteria were analyzed by the method of content analysis on the speeches of four prime ministers, who in the previous study were evaluated and ranged as efficient and inefficient. The study analyzed 14 speeches of Ivan Geshov (41 pages), 8 speeches of Alexander Tsankov (81 pages), 12 statements of Zhan Videnov (83 pages) and 21 statements of Ivan Kostov (118 p.).Each criteria is evaluated as distinguishing effective from ineffective leadership style. Four criteria have not divisive power, namely: conflict management, personal integrity, achievement motive, and attitude towards media.
