Summary/Abstract: The study evaluates the factor structure and psychometric properties of the Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale in Bulgarian sample. The results indicate that 3 ve of original six factors emerges in the factor analysis. The 3 rst component is a combination of two of Frost’s original factors: “Parental expectations” and “Parental criticism”. The remaining four components: “Organization”, “Concern over Mistakes”, “Personal Standards” and “Doubt about Action” are identical to the original factors. The scale and its subscales are found to have satisfactory internal consistencies. The subscales “Personal Standards” and “Organization” are associated with positive achievement striving. These factors have positive value on psychological health. Other subscales as “Concern over Mistakes”, “Doubt about Action” and “Parental Expectations and Criticism” are correlated with anxiety and depression. The scale has emerged as a psychometrically sound instrument and is of potential value and utility in studying the construct of perfectionism and its links with personality and psychopathology.
