Summary/Abstract: The Green Zone, the former residential district of Saddam Hussein’s power, has become the main residence area for the coalition troupes, the organizations and the people who are meant to help Iraq in the reconstruction efforts. The author describes this tiny America, as it is called, in the context of the continuous degradation of the political and social situation in Iraq.
