A Philosophical Interpretation of Wit

Summary/Abstract: In this article I make a philosophical retrospection on the concept of witt during the ages. I try to find the quitessence of the ancient thinker’s mental quests. Witt has not been an investigation priority for any of the ancient philosophers. That’s why my work resembles a search for a needle in a bundle of hay. Fortunately, the sharp needles of words come to me themselves. Whether I successed to make use of them for embroidering a text of value – well, this is another question.
