Summary/Abstract: The author analyses cases of political capital transfer in a small-town environment between 1900 and 1952. The focus of her study are representatives of the middle class and elite, who held both the executive power and the economic power at Dolný Kubín. Of her special interest are historical turning points that caused the transfer of executive power and economic power to the innerly differentiated middle class. She examines reflections of these changes in the way of life and value orientation of their representatives and the town community.
