Apărarea naţională – un domeniu de interes pentru mass-media românească
National defense – an area of interest for Romanian media

Summary/Abstract: After the Romanian Revolution of 1989, the interest of mass-media the national defense increased significantly. In order to understand the way the issues of national defense ware reflected in mass-media, we intend to analyze three aspects: the role of the media in the integration of Romania in NATO; the media and the Romanian military participation in the missions beyond the national borders; „the press campaigns control” considered „vulnerable” to the national defense of Romania by the 2010 National Defense Strategy. We believe that the Romanian media can have an important role in raising the policy makers awareness with a view to improve the public policies for defense.
