Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to identify the contributions of the great Romanian philosopher Constantin Noica on the Romanian language. Noica’s approach towards the Romanian identity is a unique one due to the fact that identity is built up on a strong connection with the Romanian language, especially with the verb ”to be” and its continuously changing forms. The paper highlights the main cultural stereotypes associated to Romanians and a few identity aspects reflected in/by/within the Romanian language.
