Labor Conditions, Employment and Women’s Labor Protection

Summary/Abstract: An accent is put on the problem of gender inequality in the field of labour and employment conditions for some specific requirements about the women’s labour protection. The influence of some new circumstances over the state of working environment during the period of transition to a market economy is analyzed: the new system of possessive rights, in which the private property predominates; the development of medium and small business, in which the requirement for healthy and safety conditions of work are realized with difficulty; the utilization of physically and morally outdated equipment; the penetration of foreign-owned economic subject and their impact on the certitude of places of work etc. Some essential characteristics of labour conditions as well as their state and tendencies during the transition period are considered. The problem connected with the normative requirements for healthy and safety conditions of work is posed in point of view of their observing in the practice, when a number of infringements are made. Also are examined the special regulations for labour and protection of women, part of them refer to all working women and others, which are intended for protection of pregnant women and mothers.
