Summary/Abstract: In the article, which is actually an introduction for the new Topics' thematic issue on sociology of religion, the author presents short history of publishing religion related articles and thematic issues in the "Topics", the journal of University of Niš. This history could be seen as a mirror of latest development in Serbian sociology of religion. The editor-in-chief of the journal explains the principles which led him while deciding to publish articles from the field of sociology of religion.
