Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the SYMLOG as a contemporary way of approach, that serves the purpose of analysis the phenomenon "life field" / Robert F. Bales and colleagues, 1979/. The acronym SYMLOG stands for "Systematic Multiple Level Observation of Groups". SYMLOG is a theory of personality and group dynamics integrated with a set of practical methods for measuring individual and group behavior. SYMLOG theory is a comprehensive unification of findings and theories from psychology, social psychology and sociology that was deservedly named "a new field theory". Particular attention is paid to advantages and limitations of the SYMLOG system, and also it is discussed its practical applications.
