Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to introduce the development of semantic research which has been carried out in Polish linguistics (using the material of the modern and general Polish language) since 1989. This article is both a review and summary. At the end an extensive bibliography containing Polish publications in the field of semantics and language theory has been included.
