Summary/Abstract: Subject of investigation is corn (bread) soup. Its recipe contains such ingredients as water, bread, salt, onion and oil. In Russian cuisine, it is represented under the title «turya» and аs for German one it is «Brotsuppe». There are the same kinds of soups in many cultures, for example Polish «wodzianka». Study is done by linguistic means and culturological analysis. This topic investigation focuses on learning, acquisition of linguistic, and culturological competence that in turn should promote fundamental understanding of cultural meaning character connected with both particular language sing and all cultural customs and traditions. The result of native speaker’s reframe of the cause-and-effect relations of certain element of the whole world of things with the reality surrounding is shown. It is noted that one and the same kind of food is (endowed with) a common dish in Germany but is a social marked «archaic» kind of food in Russia.
