Summary/Abstract: The date of 31st of December 2002 was adopted by The Polish Government as a readiness of Polish membership in the European Union. Poland, as a candidate country, has committed itself to adjust the national legal system to the EU legislative acquits and implementation of the acquits related to the area of “justice and home affairs” and enabled the Schengen acquis. Adaptation measures for the protection of the border including also depended on the establishment of the Border Guard, an internal service undertaking a preventive and operational investigators in the fight against corruption in its structures. This article is about the participation of the Border Guard officers in training in the framework of twinning projects in the fight against corruption. Trainings were conducted with representatives of the EU and concern the functioning of cells called the fight against corruption threats, the tasks performed by border guards, border protection officers from the organized crime groups, the legal framework for anti-corruption among government officials, the modern techniques of information exchange.
