Summary/Abstract: Metaphor is one of the most frequency way in representation of abstract concepts.Practically any metaphor, which represents the concept “life” in Russian and Polishlanguages, is used along with constructions of figurative comparison. That is proof thecentral role of comparison (assimilation) in the formation of metaphors.
