Summary/Abstract: This article discusses in detail characteristic aspects of implementing modal significationof necessity as the sense basis in the official style documents and identifies the most frequently usedexplicators of this phenomenon. Moreover, these explicators’ universal features are provided as wellas intralingual peculiarities of their functioning. The research is based on the selection of official styletexts from modern Russian and Polish newspapers.
