Legal Aspects of Some Sagas, Escepially the Saga of the White Horse

Summary/Abstract: The study analyses the memories of ancient cultic and legal symbolism and remains of the world view of Hungarian conquerors. As part of that, it analyses the legend of donating a white horse in the mirror of sources, supporting its interpretation by numerous examples explored through the comparative analysis of legal symbolism. The horse gift in the legend, by the double guarantee of the cultic act both carried out in reality and applied as a natural legal transaction, was meant to ensure success of the conquest of the homeland - as it is demonstrated by the study.
