Summary/Abstract: The theses of Helvetius about stupidity serve to author to stress his own conception about knowledge as a self-surmounting, more and mor e realizing ans Surmounting of stupidity; about truth as a conscious surmounting of errors. We are so much near to the truth, as much we become conscious of stupidity (respective of error) and stand against them. In this sense the intellect is the ability to perceive the stupidity and the errors, because to be human means to make mistakes and to make them continuously and fatalistic.
