Summary/Abstract: Romania shall have a law on Swiss franc loan conversion. This study is a critical analysis regarding the nature, defining elements, and the mechanism of conversion, and it includes a comparative analysis of the consumer’s right to convert the credit agreement into an alternative currency, stipulated by Directive 2014/17/EU on credit agreements for consumers relating to residential immovable property.
