Summary/Abstract: This article deals with the analysis of the intertextuality of the drama Blood Price by S. Cherkasenko, a Ukrainian modernist writer. The artist’s innovation in understanding the Gospel story about Judas Iscariot is traced. In the drama there are revealed cultural influences, associations, traces of “other texts”, the features of the author’s understanding of the phenomenon of betrayal is examined.
