Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of the article characterize change in economic fundamentals on which develops and evaluates the activities of individual insurance companies justify the necessity of financial management and define its essence. Then outline the main directions, which meet the management needs of the insurance company by him. Determine the main purpose, main and permanent tasks of financial management, different interests of entities involved in internal and external business environment, the main object and subject of financial management in the insurance business. Further attention is drawn to the main functions of the financial management in the insurance company and outlines opportunities to increase their own resources and providing the necessary solvency of the insurance company through financial management. Finally emphasis on the role of financial management in risk management in the insurance company.
