Summary/Abstract: Polielej-Horos or chandelier is a church object in the interior of the temple, which hangs in the middle of the church, i.e. under the vault, affixed to a chain, to a certain height, and it “floats” in the central part of the nave. It is mostly made from wood, decorated with wood carving or metal – silver, bronze etc. It can have circular or polygonal shape. Its function is light and symbolism in liturgical worship service1.
