Summary/Abstract: Throughout the period of its existence, as a reflection of the human tendency to move, Tourism has seen many modifications of its segments striving to adapt to changes in the tourism market, and most changes in the requirements and needs of tourists. Event tourism is one of the youngest but also the most promising types of tourism, which expansion began in the last decades of the twentieth century. Events existed as part of the tourism product, with greater or lesser importance and influence on the destination, but their commercialization was initiated by the active interest of the participants and the entire tourism industry to study this area, with the aim of increasing economic and other benefits that the community realizes. The Sarajevo Film Festival is one of the most prominent film festivals in the Southeast Europe. It is held every year, since 1994 in Sarajevo, and has average visit of about 100,000 film fans. It is a leading film festival in the region, recognized by both film professionals and the general public. High-quality programs, strong industry segment, education and network platform for young film makers and the presence of representatives of the film industry, film makers and media representatives, with an audience exceeding 100,000 people, are a confirmation of the Sarajevo Film Festival status.
