Summary/Abstract: Protection of rights of national minorities is a controversial issue especially in the countries with lots of theirs. Very important are rights concerning voting rights. Designing the electoral law to ensure that the opportunity to influence political decisions for all citizens, but does not allow this, that there were obstacles to effective governance. The article presented and analyzed solutions concerning voting rights of national minorities in the Visegrad countries. Each of the countries have adopted very different solutions on the rights of this group. To a large extent they depend not only on how many nationalities present in each country and how they are numerous, but also on political decisions which, although taken decades ago still affect the relations between countries.
