Summary/Abstract: During existence of humanity a song was, is and, I hope, will be the human companion. That’s why special attention should be paid to modern Ukrainian songs. Listening to music or reading texts of musical works is to create a certain spiritual mood. The song is an important part of education of psychologically-adjustment effects on man and cultural and spiritual education. A song always was the "visiting-card" of the Ukrainian culture. A beautiful song can make miracles and create a real patriot. A modern Ukrainian song has the scientific interest as a phenomenon of mass culture and topical as cultural phenomenon of a Ukrainian society. Song as the phenomenon of a mass culture has its own peculiarities of the development. Modern Ukrainian song has a great popularity . It is evidenced the numerous victories of our performers in the domestic and international competitions. Modern music often loses its original artistic-aesthetic purposes and shows examples of so-called speech language. Today, the main feature of the popular culture is a mass. It means a trend towards simplicity, standartisation of cultural forms of expression, primitivism. It is caused by a commercial entity and social factors. Therefore, T. Adorno thought a term "a popular culture " was a synonym of a " culture industry " The features of artificial product of mass culture expresses the concept and phenomenon of kitsch. The main features of kitsch popular culture and mass culture are researched in works of T. Adorno, J. Bodriyar , K. Greenberg , N. Kondratova, A. Kukarkin , S. Nekrasov , A. Polyakov , V. Rozhnovskyy , A. Yakovlev etc. Certainly, a kitsch is also a positive feature. It has a considerable subversive force, it converts the immaterial in material. Ukrainian song is romantic, sincere, joyful ,creative and philosophical, naturally, light. Kuzma, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk engage the popularization of Ukrainian language in songs. Ukrainian real musical kitsch is represented in the work group " VV" . Oleg Skrypka conqueres the audience with a medley performance of Ukrainian folk songs in his style. This group radiates genuine drive, piercing sincerity, natural theatricality, lyricism and sentimentality. But the group "VV" demonstrates not only positive signs kitsch but also negative one. Sometimes, the musicians unwittingly maim a Ukrainian literary language. Today, a kitsch is the leading toolkit rise of national identity. Svyatoslav Vakarchuk creates at the turn of high and popular culture. He tries to do good music with elements of kitsch. Some Svyatoslav’s songs, written 10 years ago are actual or have a political content . There are ethnic motives in Vakarchuk’s songs. In the song "With her" Vakarchuk cultivated in a national voice and a national patriotism. Many modern Ukrainian artists bring their creativity to us. During modern development in our country Ukrainian performers focuse on topical issues. A separate block of modern Ukrainian song’s space is songs that urge us to remember our past. Building Ukraine we must proceed with a Ukrainian national idea and revive the spirit of Ukrainian, language.
