Summary/Abstract: In this paper, we explore the category Anthroponyms not as a pre-defined analytic unit, but as a category that emerges from interaction. By adopting an interactionist approach emanating from Conversation Analysis and Ethnomethodology, we analyse the way in which proper names are used in а everyday communication.
