Summary/Abstract: Petar Kočić was a Serbian narrator in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a fighter for national emancipation of Serbs under the Austro-Hungarian Empire, a man of truth and justice. He was an extraordinary political orator, a true national ombudsman who with dignity showed his rhetorical skills as a representative of Serbian people in the Bosnian assembly in 1910-11. During the two years of serving as a deputy he gave many speeches which legitimised him as one of the greatest political speakers of modern history. He had a great knowledge and admiration of the Serbian language and he defended it in the parliament with the honour of Serbian language and with fantastic rhetoric in front of the Assembly at the first session on 14 November 1910.
