Summary/Abstract: One of the dominant divisions of the Serbian political scene is the one between “euro enthusiasts” and “еuroskeptics.” In this paper, the validity and meaningfulness of such a division is called into the question in principle, through the considerations of the notion of euroskepticism derived from political science, and particularly on the basis of terminological and semantic classification given by Kopecky and Mudde. The paper shows that political attitudes towards EU and Euro Atlantic integrations cannot be reduced to two semantic and terminological poles; rather they are to be defined with the help of additional criteria. Only through application of these criteria it becomes possible to perform a proper classification of party positioning towards EU and Euro-Atlantic integrations. These references are opening a new opportunities for rethinking the basic settings and ideologies that underpin the political life of Serbia and give the opportunity to explain the symptomatic absence of pro-Western political motivated position of Euro-skepticism.
